  • Have a new idea? Let us know! Most things that happen at the Relief Sale started when someone took the initiative to say, “I would like to do ___.” If you are feeling led, please consider organizing something.

Additional help needed:

  • Set up on Thursday and Friday (Oct. 2 and 3) starting around 8 a.m. Come as you are available to the auction building or the trailers by the barns. Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
  • Tear down/clean up on Saturday (Oct. 4) beginning around 1 p.m.

Apple Butter Boiling - September 20, 2025

Stirring apple butter

Come out and help us make that delicious apple butter! The boil is a full day event from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. so come help as you can. A variety of jobs are available. Kettles are placed over fires early in the morning and are continuously stirred with a wooden paddle. Sometime in the afternoon, when the apple butter reaches the right consistency, the kettles are taken off the fire and the apple butter is poured into jars to be sold at the Relief Sale. In 2025 we will be boiling 12 kettles of apple butter.
