Carolyn Bontrager and Charlotte Swope worked together in appliqueing, piecing and hand quilting this special wall hanging. It measures 65×65 inches and is made with 50 different Civil War Reproduction cotton fabrics and includes 40 different 6 inch blocks. Over 325 yards of thread was used for quilting! Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the VA Relief Sale? Well, it takes over 1,000 volunteers to put together the event each year! Many of these volunteers have been giving their time for decades and have formed new and lasting friendships from their experience.
